Apomedical Limited – Cookies Policy for www.apomeds.com
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that is sent by a website server to your browser and stored on your computer. Cookies allow website operators to collect useful information, such as whether the computer (or its user) has visited the website previously. Cookies are needed for a range of purposes which make websites function, or function more efficiently, and they can provide information to website operators about how you use their website. Cookies can also be used to display adverts that are relevant to you, based on your browsing habits, to personalise your experience as a website user.
On our website, we use persistent cookies (which expire on a specified date) and session cookies (which expire when you close your browser).
The cookies used on our website have been categorised based on definitions given in the ICC UK Cookie Guide. The following cookies are used:
• Strictly necessary cookies.
These are cookies that are needed for the operation of our website.
• Analytical/performance cookies.
These are cookies that allow us to recognise and count our website’s visitors as well as to see how visitors move around our website during their visit. This assists us to improve the way our website works, for example, by ensuring that our website users are finding what they are looking for without difficulty. Some of our performance cookies may be managed by third parties.
• Functionality cookies.
These are cookies used to recognise you when you return to our website. This enables our content to be personalised for you, greet you by name and remember any of your preferences (for example, your choice of region or language – or your cookies and marketing preferences).
• Targeting cookies.
These cookies record your visit to our website, the pages you have visited and any of the links you have clicked on. They may be used to display relevant information or specific adverts to you based on the pages that you visit on our website.
What cookies do we use?
We use the following cookies on our website:
Cookies beginning with __utm and _ga originate from Google Analytics and are used to keep a record of visitor statistics.
|These cookies are created by Google DoubleClick and are used to show personalized advertisements (ads) based on previous visits to our website.|
|APISID, NID, SID, 1P_JAR||These cookies are used by Google to display personalized advertisements on Google sites, based on recent searches and previous interactions.|
These cookies link your activities to other devices on which you previously logged in via your Google-account. On the basis of this previous activity, the ads displayed on your devices are coordinated and conversion events are measured.
|HSID, SSID, APISID, SAPISID||
HSID, SSID, APISID and SAPISID cookies enable Google to collect user information for videos hosted by YouTube.
|_gat||Google Analytics is deployed via Google Tag Manager, this cookie will be named _dc_gtm_
Contains campaign related information for the user. If you have linked your Google Analytics and Google Ads accounts, Google Ads website conversion tags will read this cookie unless you opt-out.
Contains a token that can be used to retrieve a Client ID from AMP Client ID service. Other possible values indicate opt-out, inflight request or an error retrieving a Client ID from AMP Client ID service.
|__utmc||Not used in ga.js. Set for interoperability with urchin.js. Historically, this cookie operated in conjunction with the __utmb cookie to determine whether the user was in a new session/visit.
|__utmv||Used to store visitor-level custom variable data. This cookie is created when a developer uses the _setCustomVar method with a visitor level custom variable. This cookie was also used for the deprecated _setVar method. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics.|
You decide which cookies we use
We understand that you may not have the same preferences when it comes to cookies as others do and, if you wish, your cookie settings can be configured in your web browser. You can find out more about how to do this at the following links:
Where you do amend your cookie preferences so that you don’t allow us to use certain cookies, it may prevent you from accessing parts of our website or result in a loss of functionality which reduces your experience of the website.
Further information about cookies
There’s a lot of good information about cookies available online. For more information about cookies generally, visit allaboutcookies.org.
Sometimes your data is not stored in a cookie, but in the ‘local storage’ of your browser. We use HTML5 Local Storage to store data. This works more or less the same way as cookies. With local storage, you decide how long the browser keeps the data. This depends on your browser settings and/or on how often you delete your browser history.
The following data is stored in your local storage:
|Store Data||Purpose of storing
|auth_token||This data is used for user authorization.|
|cartId||This data contains customer's shopping cart ID.|
|lang||This data contains user's default language.|
|currency||This data contains user's default currency.|
