Order your prescription for Qlaira from Bayer, online

The micro-pill, Qlaira, is used very often in the UK. If you are already taking the contraceptive pill, Qlaira, you can take an online follow-up exam quickly and conveniently. Apomeds is a mediation platform, linking experienced physicians and a registered online pharmacy.

Qlaira, from the Bayer company, is very well-tolerated and often prescribed in the UK. The combination pill is a safe contraceptive and contains the chemical hormones, dienogest, and estradiol valerate, in low dose.

What is Qlaira?

Qlaira, is a hormonal combination for women who want to take an oral contraceptive. It contains the luteal hormone or progestin, called dienogest, and the estrogen, called estradiol valerate, in a low dose.

This contraceptive pill is a so-called micro-pill, as its estrogen content, with the active ingredient estradiol valerate, is below 50 micrograms. This combination pill provides a low dose of hormones for the female body, improves menstruation disorders and is a safe contraceptive method. The Qlaira reviews are quite positive and women take it worldwide.

The effect and dosage of Qlaira

The active ingredient, estradiol valerate, inhibits ovulation and suppresses the hormone which induces ovulation. More specifically, this substance prevents the pituitary gland from forming the hormone, gonadotropin, which normally triggers ovulation. Ethinylestradiol, deceives the female body by simulating the condition of a pregnancy, in which the gonadotropin hormone is naturally inhibited.

Dienogest, adjusts the texture of the uterine lining so that a potentially fertilized egg cannot settle there, and affects the consistency of the mucus in the uterine canal so that sperm cannot penetrate. In addition, this substance causes the egg to pass through the fallopian tube so fast that there is no time for fertilization.

How to take the contraceptive pill Qlaira

The pill is taken once a day with water – always at the same time of day.

There are different tablets with different amounts of hormones, taken during a cycle, that are adapted to provide the ideal contraception:
  • 2 dark-yellow tablets with 3 mg estradiol valerate
  • 5 medium-red tablets containing 2 mg estradiol valerate and 2 mg dienogest
  • 17 light-yellow tablets containing 2 mg estradiol valerate and 3 mg dienogest
  • 2 dark-red tablets with 1 mg estradiol valerate
